If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
Ethan my 7-year-old on the Autism Spectrum who has HFA is stuck in a mental loop about school and how he hates it. Small things to me that occurred at the school in the past he holds on to. The negative always seems heavier and stays in his mind longer than the positive so some issues like an adult shouting at him a year ago.
Lunchroom smells which effect his sensory (and we addressed already) stick in his mind and he hates school every morning before he leaves but he enjoys it when he is there it seems and is thriving according to staff but it’s a loop we go through daily.
We don’t know if we need to break the cycle or ease out of it or ignore any negativity and reward positivity. It’s not normal parenting.
I guess I am venting and asking for prayer this morning.
